MISHKA ANNOUNCES FEBRUARY 2012 TOUR DATES WITH FULL BAND
(Maui, HI) -- Internationally renowned roots reggae artist MISHKA, the face of surf-clothing giant O’Neill’s new eco-friendly apparel line ECO’Neill, is set to tour this February with full band, in support of current jk livin release Talk About. The highly prolific singer-songwriter last toured solo and acoustic, including Hard Rock pre-party performance dates attached to Kenny Chesney’s “Goin’ Coastal Tour 2011” last summer.
Talk About, which was co-produced by Butch Walker (Pink, Fall Out Boy) and label head Matthew McConaughey, debuted #1 on the iTunes Reggae Chart and is outside-the-box of traditional Roots-Reggae, adding a mainstream Rock influence. It marks Mishka’s fourth album to date and his second for jk livin. He is currently working on his next studio album.
The Maui-based artist, who spent most of his early life on a boat in the Caribbean sailing the islands with his seafaring parents and older sisters, is widely noted for his spiritually conscious music and powerful yet genuine performance. It was inevitable that he’d be drawn to Reggae, Rastafari, and the natural mystic that inhabit his music and soul.

LOS ANGELES, CA - The O’Neill Cold Water Classic (CWC) Series is the coldest, wildest and most classic surf tour on the planet, featuring some of world’s most scenic locations and top-rated surfers. So far in 2010, the CWC Series has visited Tasmania, Australia, Thurso, Scotland and the Western Cape of South Africa, before the final stops in Tofino and Santa Cruz. To celebrate the last two stops, O’Neill has announced a special West Coast tour by j.k. livin artist Mishka, who will follow the Series from Canada to the Western United States.
Named 2009's “Best New Artist” by digital music leader iTunes, Mishka will start the 11-stop tour at O’Neill’s Cold Water Classic event in Tofino, British Columbia, before heading south through Oregon and Northern California for the Coldwater Classic finals in Santa Cruz, Calif. During the tour, Mishka will commemorate his ongoing relationship with O’Neill, which was announced earlier this year in association with the brand’s new eco-friendly apparel line, ECO’Neill.
